Today was a lazy day because we were all tired from last night’s activities. In the morning we watched a movie. After that N. and I took the bikes and went to find the beach. Of course we didn’t find it and made a lot of detours – it is so confusing, the sun is supposed to be in the south at noon! At least it meant that we saw lots of Christchurch.
Eventually it began to rain but we were lucky the Pak’N’Save supermarket crossed our way, so we did a bit of shopping. Meanwhile the rain stopped and we went home.
After that E. helped me to do some car research. Cars at the backpacker carmarket are quite expensive. To buy one via the internet seems to be much better.
Now the movie room is full of people. We, at least they, are watching 127 Hours. Fortunately an appointment to look at a car gave me an excuse to leave the movie. I don’t like movies in which people are mutilated or mutilate themselves.

The appointment was successful, I like the car. It’s a Subaru Wagon and a real Kiwi car. It’s 17 years old and had only one owner, a middle aged guy who kept it well. Tomorrow it will be checked by a mechanic and when everything is fine I will buy it.
Happy to be finished with that topic, I had a nice little walk through the park.
