Sacred Hill

Today was my second to last day working on the vineyards – it was a nice sunny day but there was a nasty wind all day which wasn’t so nice. I couldn’t believe it in the afternoon when, despite there being no clouds anywhere in the sky, it just started raining. A „sun shower“ they get called – the wind brings the rain over from the mountains and it made the most beautiful rainbow I’ve seen because there was still so much sun.

The work itself was fine, except for having the sun in my eyes all day. Of course now that I’m about to finish I’m really getting fast and I finished a whole row and made a start on a second one. In the morning I mentioned to P. that I had looked for some Sacred Hill wine in the supermarket (the vineyard we are working on) but it was really expensive and he said that he would get me a bottle. I figured that with only one more day left it wouldn’t really happen but after lunch he came to me and gave me an unlabelled bottle of Sacred Hill wine that he managed to get from somewhere – nice!
