In the middle of nowhere – Penguin Paradise Holiday Lodge in Waikawa

Dunedin reminds me of Scotland. The names of the streets are all Scottish, the people have a Scottish accent and the weather seems to be nice but the wind is terrible. Despite these nice things Dunedin is a tourist region. You can do everything you like – if you have and if you are willing to spend enough money. Pennys Backpackers, Dunedin

This morning we checked out of the backpackers in Oamaru and left for Dunedin. I decided to go through the mountains, so we headed inland to drive over Denseys Pass rather than simply driving down the coast. The scenery was amazing and everywhere you looked there were endless mountains. Of course I stopped to photograph everything!
