From the Original Backpackers to The three wise monkeys in Sydney

Good morning! I’m sitting in my room on my bunk bed and trying to wake up.
Yesterday, at last, the driver from my hostel showed up and we went by a little bus with 12 seats into the city center. In the bus there was one girl who is staying in the same hostel as me. We began to talk and decided to spend the rest of the day together.
Arriving at the hostel we checked in. The manager on duty was really friendly. I took a security locker for my Laptop and Camera. Then the girl showed us our rooms. It is very warm here.
In the room, we have six people, I think most of them younger than me. The room is untidy, because there are backpacks, scattered clothes and shoes everywhere. In the background the ventilation fan is running but failed to cool the room entirely.

I had a shower and after that we started to explore Sydney.
We went to the Royal Botanic Gardens and had a great view of Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. I took a lot of pictures. There were about 5000 joggers, we felt like cyclists on a Highway.
The sky was cloudy and I forgot to use my sun protection and of course I got a little sunburn. Yes, you told me, I know ;o) On our way we met friends of M. All together we visited the opera house.
During our walk to the Harbour Bridge it started to rain, so we decided to have some beer in a pub. Two beers later I got a bit drunk because I had only a little breakfast at the plane. The guys went to another engagement and we girls walked across the Harbour Bridge. We had stunning views of Sydney’s skyline.
On our way home we crossed the Royal Botanic Gardens and took pictures of fruitbats, cockatoos and some black and white birds with long crooked beaks. The way leads over, yes over, the roofs of some surely expensive houses next to the waterside.
The staircase to our street has approximately 1000 steps, exhausting.

In the evening we met the boys again and went to drink some more beer. We got hungry and decided to try the Korean cuisine. It was a mistake. I like to try foreign dishes but Korean food is definitely not my taste.
Nevertheless we had a lot of fun in the restaurant. There was a hot platter on a little gas cooker. The waiter forgot to turn it on. We thougt the cooker was there to keep the food warm. The truth is, we should have cooked the food before eating, so we had uncooked noodles and greens like stinging nettles.
After that we urgently needed beer, so we ended up in a pub called „The three wise monkeys“. They had a live band, the beer was affordable and finally we had a very good evening.
